New CC! GUELPH - ELORA TOUR
This is a Tourist Level ride.
PLEASE NOTE: All riders, including guest riders, must register to participate in this CC. Please read registration details on the CC webpage
A wonderful NEW ride to add to our CC repertoire! This ride brings us northwest of Toronto to the countryside surrounding the Guelph area and through some Mennonite farmlands. Having departed from Guelph itself, the ride follows quiet roads with some hills around Maryhill and near Elora. The long route travels over the covered bridge at West Montrose.
There are no places to pick up food or water along the way, except for a farmer's market. Elora is considered the "official" lunch stop, where there are shops and restaurants. Alternatively, you can bring your own lunch and eat in a park in Elora.
START: 9:30am - West End Community Centre in Guelph - 21 Imperial Road South, Guelph, ON, N1K 1X6
DRIVING DIRECTIONS: To drive to the start location, take Highway 401 west to Highway 6 North (Hanlon Expressway). Follow Highway 6 north to Paisley Road and turn LEFT at the light. Turn RIGHT onto Imperial Road South and then LEFT at the driveway of 21 Imperial Road. Continue along to the back Community Centre parking lot where we will start the ride.
DISTANCES: 57km & 80km
